corporate style

Wearing- Dress: Hunt No More, Heels: Guess, Clutch: Novo. Cuff: Lovisa
Photos By: Josh Groom

Autumn/ Winter is here and I'm starting strong with killer label Hunt No More! I love when a label can transcend and transform their pieces for any type of woman, girl, day, night, profession or event. This dress personally brought me back to my corporate Legal Secretary days. The combination of the high-low hem, high neck and the beautifully sophisticated colour palette/ design embodied such a professional, feminine and strong quality. With this nostalgia in mind I decided to go for the refined corporate route, so I stuck with solid colours, minimal accessories and powerful patent pumps.

As I said about transitions, this dress could easily work for night. I'd throw on some ankle boots, tough blazer, large tote and your rocking some serious street style cred in an instant.

PS I'm holding a little Give-away at the moment- Check out my Facebook or Instagram to see how you can be in the running to attend Fashion Palette in Sydney next week, I went last year and had a ball! You and a friend could be soaking up some amazing runway shows with me! Australian labels such as Arthur Galan, Bettina Liano, Nicola Finneti will be showcased. Be in it to win it.

fluro highlight

Wearing - Dress: Cotton On, Necklace & Bracelet: Lovisa, Heels, Verali
Photos By: Josh Groom

So I've gone a bit colour crazy, I almost titled this post hi-vis chic - consider that the subtitle! Wearing accent colours are so fun and instantly amped up my look, could you imagine this dress with a nude or black heel?! Sure it would work just fine but it wouldn't be this fun!

My Verali heels are so high vis you almost need sunnies just to look at them and they probably naturally glow in the dark too! Love it.

Go Cotton On for stocking hot dresses for girls on a budget, this dress was only around 40 bux! Considering the speed that trends come and go I'd rather save my $$ for a dress designed for those come and go trending moments like the stream of fluro and neon fleeting around the Spring and Summer 12/13 season.

Speaking of the speed of trends, the shops are already turning over their Summer gear for Autumn/Winter, sooo expect new season Autumn/Winter madness in my next post. Yep, already! I've got some divine leather, tailored silhouettes, deep jewel tones and watercolour prints on the way, how delicious...

green and gold

Wearing - Dress: Sacha Drake, Necklace: Mettle Fair Trade
Photos By: Josh Groom

In my perfect world there would be no Winter and turning the clocks back one hour was no longer a ‘thing'. So I've been savouring every warm and sunny Summer’s day while it lasts. These were taken at Coogee Beach at around 6.30pm and could not have been a more perfect backdrop for my Summer Maxi. Wearing Sacha Drake Australia as a beach kaftan of sorts instead as I opted to wear a black bikini underneath to bring out its stunning what I am calling ‘electrified tie dye’. Looking back I've coincidentally put together quite a patriotic look of sorts with the green and gold! Wearing Melbourne based Mettle Fair trade gold necklace which I am in love, it surprisingly made me feel powerful with its bold and weighty geometric shape that kind of has a Olympic Gold Medal vibe going on.

Treasuring the splashes of the waves at my feet and sand in my toes as the breeze brought this dress to life. Nothing is more calming and relaxing than frolicking in the beach, perfect way to unwind at the end of the day. I hope you can close your eyes and you are being transported to my little happy moment as you read this!
