doily

Wearing - Blazer: Aelkemi, Shirt: Caslazur, Skirt: Quirky Circus, Heels: The Mode Collective
Photos By: Josh Groom

It's felt like a while since I've posted a light and bright outfit... feeling a bit sad looking at these shots that are only a week old and now as I write this I am now covered head to toe with many layers to fight the cold and rain!

Every girl should own that beautifully tailored and classic white silk blouse, not only will you be chic all year round it will literally go with everything. I loved skirt when I first came across it especially its vintage inspired doiley lace overlay - it is just too cute reminds me of my Nan's favourite table setting.

Until my next post hopefully it stops raining so I can shoot my next look tomorrow. Expect for the Winter curve styles to hit; knits, leather, studs and feminine silhouettes.

black & white

Wearing - Top: Suboo, Pants: Boo Hoo, Heels: Novo, Cuff: Pratten, Sunnies: Le Specs
Photos By: Josh Groom

No outerwear required just yet! By now the true spirit of Autumn should be under way-  lucky for us 2 days in and we're still hot and sunny. Needless to say I'll be attending my first Fashion Week as Media next week (!) and if its cold and windy by then I'll be in fantasy heaven staying toasty and warm whilst taking in the latest Spring Summer 13/14 goodness. Stay in touch on my instagram/ twitter for all the latest off and on the runway.

Fashion week wardrobe will be consisting of some OTT two pieces, more black and white ensembles and some good leather staples thrown in for good measure.

fuchsia

Wearing - Top: Hunt No More, Pants: Staple the Label, Heels: Guess, Necklace: Lovisa

So I've found my latest favourite pair of floral pants! Yes I wear a lot of floral and yes they're amazing! Fuchsia at its best with a delightful combo of Hunt No More and Staple the Label. Silky pants feel so cheeky, the comfort factor feels like you're getting away with wearing your pj's out in public.. not that I would ever dream of ever doing such a thing ;)

Strap yourselves in for a trip down rainbow road (not the one from Mario Kart) as Winter is coming alive with a sea of beautiful tones, yes black will be prevalent but shock horror brights are on offer so lets not succumb to the proverbial pit/rut of Winter fashion!

corporate style

Wearing- Dress: Hunt No More, Heels: Guess, Clutch: Novo. Cuff: Lovisa
Photos By: Josh Groom

Autumn/ Winter is here and I'm starting strong with killer label Hunt No More! I love when a label can transcend and transform their pieces for any type of woman, girl, day, night, profession or event. This dress personally brought me back to my corporate Legal Secretary days. The combination of the high-low hem, high neck and the beautifully sophisticated colour palette/ design embodied such a professional, feminine and strong quality. With this nostalgia in mind I decided to go for the refined corporate route, so I stuck with solid colours, minimal accessories and powerful patent pumps.

As I said about transitions, this dress could easily work for night. I'd throw on some ankle boots, tough blazer, large tote and your rocking some serious street style cred in an instant.

PS I'm holding a little Give-away at the moment- Check out my Facebook or Instagram to see how you can be in the running to attend Fashion Palette in Sydney next week, I went last year and had a ball! You and a friend could be soaking up some amazing runway shows with me! Australian labels such as Arthur Galan, Bettina Liano, Nicola Finneti will be showcased. Be in it to win it.

fluro highlight

Wearing - Dress: Cotton On, Necklace & Bracelet: Lovisa, Heels, Verali
Photos By: Josh Groom

So I've gone a bit colour crazy, I almost titled this post hi-vis chic - consider that the subtitle! Wearing accent colours are so fun and instantly amped up my look, could you imagine this dress with a nude or black heel?! Sure it would work just fine but it wouldn't be this fun!

My Verali heels are so high vis you almost need sunnies just to look at them and they probably naturally glow in the dark too! Love it.

Go Cotton On for stocking hot dresses for girls on a budget, this dress was only around 40 bux! Considering the speed that trends come and go I'd rather save my $$ for a dress designed for those come and go trending moments like the stream of fluro and neon fleeting around the Spring and Summer 12/13 season.

Speaking of the speed of trends, the shops are already turning over their Summer gear for Autumn/Winter, sooo expect new season Autumn/Winter madness in my next post. Yep, already! I've got some divine leather, tailored silhouettes, deep jewel tones and watercolour prints on the way, how delicious...

rays

Wearing - Top and Skirt: Kookai, Heels: StyleTread
Photos By: Josh Groom

Whenever I wear green or close to my favourite shade of green in a post I tend to start gushing about how much I love it and the feeling I get from wearing it! This time really won't be any different, except I'm also overjoyed with the afternoon glow that we managed to capture. Working in the natural light is always so hit and miss and the golden afternoon rays framing every shot and streaming through my hair captured my lime green perfectly!

You guys may or not gather already that I am a big Kookai lover. This outfit is all about my go-to style at the moment: matching sets, geo prints, light palettes and of course my greens! Hence bright white heels, all the rage at the moment with my StyleTread white patent and rose gold detailed heels worked perfectly. In fact, these are one of those wear with anything non stop this season kinda shoe!

I'll see you in my next post for more afternoon glow, summery inspiration and incessant wind in the hair.

split

Wearing - Top: Soot the Label, Skirt, Kirsty Irwin the Label, Wedges, Novo, Sunnies: Mambo, Ring & Bracelet: Lovisa
Photos By: Demi Brooker

Light and bright is my go to for summer dress up fun. BUT WAIT I’ve mixed girly fun with an unexpected twist – leather!! Oh yes, my mini is in fact white leather!! Who would have thought the 80’s retro favourite could make such a chic and edgy come back!

Aussie label Kirsty Irwin nailed my style into one fab maxi skirt. White leather, thigh high split and sheer panels… whoa I feel like she knows me.

My literally airy and breezy singlet by another Aussie label Soot the Label, complemented my light and bright theme. Feminine, bright and versatility rolled into one!

Does something seem familiar here though? If you’re a regular reader you may recognise these candy popping Novo wedges and I also wore these in this same exact location here. Completely unintentional but the ferns and wilted birds of paradise were calling me my name!
