No outerwear required just yet! By now the true spirit of Autumn should be under way-  lucky for us 2 days in and we're still hot and sunny. Needless to say I'll be attending my first Fashion Week as Media next week (!) and if its cold and windy by then I'll be in fantasy heaven staying toasty and warm whilst taking in the latest Spring Summer 13/14 goodness. Fashion week wardrobe will be consisting of some OTT two pieces, more black and white ensembles and some good leather staples thrown in for good measure.

Autumn/ Winter is here and I'm starting strong with killer label Hunt No More! I love when a label can transcend and transform their pieces for any type of woman, girl, day, night, profession or event. This dress personally brought me back to my corporate Legal Secretary days. The combination of the high-low hem, high neck and the beautifully sophisticated colour palette/ design embodied such a professional, feminine and strong quality. With this nostalgia in mind I decided to go for the refined corporate route, so I stuck with solid colours, minimal accessories and powerful patent pumps. 

As I said about transitions, this dress could easily work for night. I'd throw on some ankle boots, tough blazer, large tote and your rocking some serious street style cred in an instant.

Light and bright is my go to for summer dress up fun. BUT WAIT I’ve mixed girly fun with an unexpected twist – leather!! Oh yes, my mini is in fact white leather!! Who would have thought the 80’s retro favourite could make such a chic and edgy come back!

Aussie label Kirsty Irwin nailed my style into one fab maxi skirt. White leather, thigh high split and sheer panels… whoa I feel like she knows me.

My literally airy and breezy singlet by another Aussie label Soot the Label, complemented my light and bright theme. Feminine, bright and versatility rolled into one!

Does something seem familiar here though? If you’re a regular reader you may recognise these candy popping Novo wedges and I also wore these in this same exact location here. Completely unintentional but the ferns and wilted birds of paradise were calling me my name!

Give-Away time!

Gemme Sorbet is just past its 6 month Birthday, so I thought to celebrate I will host my FIRST give away! I've teamed up with High Street UK brand Warehouse who have launched their Australian online store featuring their gorgeous new collection! Expect some classic, cool, fun and feminine pieces ladies!

This sequined, magenta/ hot pink number is from their 'Special Occasion' collection but I decided to dress it down for a day look. Keeping in theme with Spring/ Summer I went a bit crazy with the accessories with accenting neon and fluro colours and chucked on a blue denim jacket - which is always the easiest piece to style with when I'm not feeling super girly. But of course I've ended up a walking contradiction once again by finishing the look off with hot pink and baby blue Malibu Barbie-esque wedges!

Ahh the classic LBD. My go to Winter dress that I can layer with anything, including fluffy feather collars!


Think this is now the third fur or feather related clothing item I've shot now. There was this AND this! Fur and feathers are huge for Winter right now so I might not be able to help myself posting more. I must admit I do have another feather jacket that I am yet to shoot so who knows! 

Set off against the luscious golds, reds and deep purples of this decadent function room my outfit came alive and I almost felt like a character from 'Bold and the Beautiful' waltzing around her lavish salôn. Hence my 'notions of fashion, fantasy and flair' this is one of those outfits that definitely evokes flair and if you've been a regular reader of my posts I tend to relate my outfits or clothing items to a moment, a memory, a distant time or a current fantasy for now and the future.. not to say I want to 'grow up' to be a gold digging, power hungry, husband stealing, 5 time bride who finds out her lover is her Dad or anything ;)
