Seeing these floral pants for the first time in store instantly reminded of Alice in Wonderland. I was brought back to the song "All In the Golden Afternoon" as the garden of coloured Roses, Tulips, Daffodils and Posies came to life. The sun came out after a week of pouring rain so I was able to have my own brief moment in the Golden Afternoon!

Floral, patterns, prints and candy brights are still very popular in trousers, jeans and leggings, but not in jeggings lets not go there again! I offset the pants by picking up the violet purple shade in my Steve Madden heels which I love!  And kept it simple with this Peplum top which gives the illusion that I have curves! Yay!

Love, love, LOVE my cord jeans. Normally anything in cord makes me want to gag but I made an exception when I saw these in Zara! So much more fun than plain old denim. This is the second shoot I've done since I died my hair and it came out nicely with the natural day light..big deal for me as I haven't coloured my hair since I was 14 so still getting used to it even though its only 1 or 2 shades lighter!

Sparkling Smoke & Mirrors

Just a little sparkle goes a long way. I was inspired by the feminine, shimmering pastels from Elie Saab's SS 2012 collection. This pale salmon skirt is a dream to wear and the layer upon layer of large clear sequins is the closest I'll ever get to feeling like Arielle! Same principals that I usually go by when putting together an outfit, tone down the top if you want to be flashy on the bottom and vice versa!

light as a feather

I was so excited to finally shoot these pants! It was boiling hot that day and these pants are so light it feels like I'm wearing nothing at all (nothin' at all!) You can't tell in the photos but the blazer has a sheer back as well - so in theory an all black pant and blazer combo should be better suited to Autumn or Winter but the sheer, light layers proved me wrong. I was a bit iffy after buying this yellow mustard crop top as I thought I might not be able to pull it off without wearing it as an under-layer but it works nicely with the pants. Hopefully I can match it with some other pieces in my wardrobe as I loooove the colour.

These pants will see me through these warmer Autumn days and nights to come, can't get enough of them.

Sheer delight

As I posted in a couple of posts on the big trends of the moment, I decided to put a look together that is very easy to wear, semi transeasonal (forget Winter!) and bang on trend! The intricate pleating across the front on this skirt is amazing and it adds the perfect amount of detailing. This maxi has a built in mini skirt underneath so double points for not having to fiddle all day with those pesky slips riding up!

The things you do for fashion! You can see the rain drops all over me in the close up shot of the shirt!
