First star that immediately caught my eye was Rooney Mara with her rock hard, bold, Lego head fringe and chignon. I love that since creeping toward the spotlight in her first leading role in 'Girl With the Dragon Tattoo' that her literary character Lisbeth Salander had such a massive influence on her new look. Only Rooney's alabaster skin and ridiculous bone structure could pull off this strong hair style!
Wearing a Givenchy couture gown which she apparently picked the morning before Rooney worked both glamour and edge which you rarely get to see at the Academy Awards. I think she is definitely one to watch in the style stakes and after seeing her red carpet pictures today I think she is my new style crush.
My next favourite is Michelle Williams. She looked every bit the Hollywood star wearing an adorable cascading coral Louis Vuitton gown. I can't get over the detail on this! We got the train, the peplum skirt, the gorgeous bow detail, the layers! Just perfect.
Her too cute pixie crop paired with classic/ minimal makeup and accessories, Michelle is closing in on 'signature look' territory. Another stunning red carpet look, she has once again turned it out and we will definitely see her on the best dressed list and many more to come if she keeps this gorgeousness up!
Another one of my favourites was Milla Jovovich. The Supermodel and Actress looked amazing wearing this dreamy sequined, one shouldered gown by Ellie Saab. White was definitely a trend this year and Milla alongside Rooney were my top picks.
She kept it elegant with a side swept natural waves, diamond droplet earrings, diamond bracelet, Edie Parker clutch and a classic red lip. Not bad for her first Oscar's! The stunner oozed pure elegance and glamour.
My next pick Emma Stone. Who said red heads can't wear red huh?! Emma wore a crimson Giambattista Valli Haute Couture gown, paired with Brian Atwood heels, Louis Vuitton clutch and jewels.
This floor length number fit the star like a glove. That voluminous side tie and panelled waist works a treat. Keeping it simple with a side swept do, complementary earrings Emma wowed the crowd on the red carpet this year.
Last but not least Kristen Wiig. She wore a strapless nude number by J. Mendel. Set off by her golden brown waves, Kristen worked this chiffon stunner with Prada shoes, Neil Lane jewellery and a Judith Leiber clutch.
That's my style picks for the Oscar's! What were your style favourites?
